Don't be surprised if a wild hare brushes past your feet on one of you walks and don't be taken aback by the sheer size of Golden Masheer that might jump out from the deeps to greet its guests old and new alike. Getting There:

From Bangalore(239 Kms- 5 hrs) proceed towards Mysore and take a deviation at Srirangapatna towards the bypass road via Ranganathittu-Yelwal-Hunsur Road. After Hunsur town proceed towards Periyapatna and take the Maldare Forest - Siddapur road and get on to the Siddapur - Madikeri Road and cross the bridge to Nellihudikeri township - go 500 mts up the main road and turn left towards Arecad on Maragodu Road. At Arecad turn left and go for further 2 km to reach a junction and turn left to reach a shop settlement . Turn right on to the open gates to reach "THE HOUSE ON THE ROCK " (Asking for Master's Ship House might get you there faster).
